| Hello from http://www.pureshowers.co.uk,
Unfortunately today we have some bad news to report :^(
North Ireland Water company have been fined a sum of 500 Pounds for polluting a Co Down river.
The company have admitted to flushing sewage into the river and have blamed the inappropriate items being flushed into the system
They have admitted guilt to this horrible action at the Downpatrick Magistrates Court on February 20, 2008.
A spokeswoman for NIW has said,
"Many people genuinely don't realise the potential damage they are doing, not only to their own internal pipes, but also to the sewerage system by flushing baby wipes, sanitary items and cotton buds, she said.
Unfortunately, in this case, inappropriate flushing has resulted in the sewer overflowing and causing this pollution incident and damage to the environment."
We think that it is terrible that this company has acted in such an unconscionable way. Certainly they have due process and procedures to deal with this sort of situation, rather than just pumping danagerous waste straight into our water systems??
Here at PureShowers.co.uk we lament for the environment and hope people will wake up to their unethical actions one day and really try to look after our environment as it was our own child.
If you want to keep yourself and your family free of pollutants and contaminants in your shower water, then please don't forget to buy a shower filter from our a shower filter online store at http://www.pureshowers.co.uk.
Have a great new year and keep looking after yourselves!
